She’s probably the hottest vampire we’ve ever seen on any TV show, with the exception of…um actually, no one. Known to most as the virginal vamp Jess in HBO’s True Blood, she’s been the fantasy of many since the show first aired in 2008.
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past four years, True Blood is like Twilight, but for grown-ups (think sex, drug abuse and gritty storylines…so nothing like Twilight actually) and Deborah plays the auburn-haired homeschooled devout Christian who gets turned by ‘Vampire Bill’ and gradually gives in to her carnal urges, hormones blazing.
But True Blood isn’t Deborah’s only foray into horror, back in 2010 she played Lydia in the remake of Mother’s Day, a chilling home invasion film about a crazed mother, played by Rebecca de Mornay, who helps her sons’ evade the law and teaches the new owners of her old house a gruesome lesson.
She also starred in a film called Little Murder that is set in New Orleans (After Hurricane Katrina hit) and focuses on the life of a detective who comes face to face with the ghost of a murdered woman who wants to help him find her killer.
With three movies in the pipeline and True Blood back on our screens, not to mention the chip on Jess’s shoulder getting bigger and her attitude getting badder, we can expect to see a lot more of Deborah Ann Woll…
