House of Good and Evil was first brought to our attention when Blu de Golyer got in touch with us through our Facebook page. Immediately gripped by the blood-red banner and the imagery of the pram cut in two, we couldn’t help but read on…
An exciting new indie horror from director David Mun and writer Blu de Golyer, the plot focuses on Chris (Christian Oliver) and Maggie Conley (Rachel Marie Lewis) who, after a family tragedy and in a desperate final bid to save their failing marriage, move from the big smoke to an isolated home deep in the woods (when will people learn that is never, ever a good idea?!). It isn’t long before they discover that not everything is as it should be and that (rather ominously) “evil has a key”.
After watching the trailer, we can once again jump up and down in our desk chairs, squealing in delight at the genius of independent horror and screaming: “Thank you, Shooting Creek Films!” Whilst it may sound like a standard haunted house horror flick, the trailer (and the poster, to some extent) suggest that we can hope for just a little more with this one.
It’s also been announced that it is an official selection for the Arizona International Film Festival, not bad considering this with be David Mun’s directorial debut.
We wait with bated breath, Shooting Creek Films.
