The Vancouver-born beauty has been acting since she was 8 years old and just a few years after that she landed her first horror role in It Came from Beneath the Sink from the awesome Goosebumps series (Don’t act like you don’t know it…) in 1996.
She then went on to star in an episode of The X Files and play the daughter of an infectious disease researcher in TV movie Voyage of Terror before trying her hand at being James Marsden’s sister alongside Katie Holmes in Disturbing Behaviour.
However, it was in 2000 that Katharine really came in to her own when she portrayed the broody teenager-come-overtly sexual werewolf in Ginger Snaps. *howls*
Fast forward 13 years, past Carrie, Freddy vs. Jason and a whole host of other flicks and Katharine is back and looking humana humana….
American Mary is a Canadian horror film by The Soska Sisters and focuses on Mary Mason, a medical student who falls on hard times financially and becomes ‘disenchanted’ with the idea of becoming a surgeon. The promise of easy money sees Mary dragged down into the world of underground surgeries which “ends up leaving more marks on her than her so called ‘freakish’ clientele” (IMDb).
