Hailing from The Horror Hothouse’s home town of London, comes an exciting new supernatural short film entitled Promised. Written, directed and edited by Bulent Ozdemir, Promised focuses on a broken promise between Archangel Michael and Lucifer, which brings forth a threat against the birth of Man.
Starring Alan Stenson, best known for his role as Telemuchas in Andrey Konchalovskiy’s The Odyssey, as Michael, Andrew Dowbiggin as a rather sinister Lucifer and Remie Purtill-Clarke as Faith, Promised is an official selection for 2013’s Fantastic Planet Film Festival in Sydney, Australia and has been nominated for three Maverick Movie awards (2012).
Despite being a ‘no budget’ film, the short looks to be of surprisingly high quality. From what we can see from the trailer, the acting is fantastic, as is the camera work, and the lighting and post-production also seems to be on point. Not to mention the fact that the concept is great – Supernatural be damned, here’s an angel for you. We look forward to checking out Promised in full.
