House of Good and Evil was first brought to our attention when writer Blu de Golyer got in touch with us through our Facebook page. Since then we have had the pleasure of writing both a preview and a review and now we can happily announce that the film has been acquired by Phase 4 Films (North America only) and Acort International.
House of Good and Evil will be enjoying its North American release on 1st October with a Blu-ray, DVD and VOD release as well as a limited theatrical release is currently planned for the US in February 2014. For us of us not stateside, we have yet to hear from Acort International as to when the global release is planned, but watch this space as it will be within the year.
Currently working the festival circuit, House of Good and Evil has won a ‘Best Feature’ award and will be screening at the Dances With Films festival in Hollywood at the beginning of next month.
Brought to us under the Shooting Creek Films banner and directed by David Mun, the plot focuses on married couple Chris (Christian Oliver) and Maggie (Rachel Marie Lewis) who, in a desperate final bid to save their failing marriage, move from the city to an isolated home deep in the woods and soon discover that everything is not as it should be – and no, it’s not a haunted house movie.
Congratulations to the team at Shooting Creek Films.
