As the first snows of winter swept though old London town, a bunch of us hardy horror fans braved the icy elements to enjoy the dark delights of the capital city’s top extreme transgressive film club Billy Chainsaw’s Subterranean at SE1’s Underdog Gallery. And what a night it was, kicking off with Bugs, the William Burroughs inspired third part of Chainsaw and Collier’s cut up Triptych that began with Flies and Goats. A pretty intense audio-visual experience none of these Chainsaw Collier cut up shorts will ever be available to see outside of indie film screenings so watch out for on in your area.
The sensory overload continued with Jason Atomic’s Satanic Mojo Manifesto with Black Acid Introduction combining extreme occult and psychedelic visual and aural imagery with an overlaid spoken word pice from Mr Atomic, a pretty intense piece.
And so onto the main feature James Bickert’s Frankenstein Created Bikers is the sequel to 2011’s Dear God No. A bunch of teens go down to the old swimming hole for an afternoon of skinny dipping, sexual fumbling and getting stoned, only to have it spoilt by the emergence of a Sasquatch from the lake and the arrival of the Impalers. an outlaw zombie biker gang. Our half-naked ‘final girl’ (well she does remember to pick up her knickers when running away from the sasquatch) ends up banged up below the secret laboratory of the mad scientist who is supplying the Impalers with the secret formula that keeps them alive. Is she going to be body donor for the disembodied head of his daughter that he keeps in his lab?
But the bikers don’t have it all their own way because grenade toting former biker girlfriend Edna (Madeline Brumby) is out of jail and determined to exact a terrible revenge on Jett (Jett Bryant) and his gang. Aiding and abetting the one-eyed biker moll are the Satan’s Own outlaw biker gang, a chainsaw toting bounty hunting priest and a bunch of topless, kitty masked machine gunning strippers, while the local law enforcement officers watch on.
Yep Frankenstein Created Bikers is totally batshit bonkers and is packed full of nudity, guns, slapstick violence, gore, sick gags, explosions, more nudity, well sick deviant sex, monsters, mad science and Laurence R Harvey with an Austrian accent as the scientist’s assistant. What more could you possibly want?
Totally bastard batshit bonkers groovy exploitation movie we give Frankenstein Created Bikers a 666/666
