In2ruders (2018)

Taking the lid of shady practices in the not so distant future music business Naeem Mahmood’s In2ruders follows twin sister duo Lumi and Narti (Sonia and Anna the Bloom Twins) as they are relentlessly  pressured by meglomaniac corporate MD Ravanna Serpentine (supermodel Caprice Bourret) to sign a recording contract with New World Recorder.

A life changing tragedy leaves one of the twins alone in her boarded up mansion to face NWR’s enforcers who bizarrely include Spandau Ballet crooner Tony Hadley. What happens next transcends the borders of the twin’s cold reality and her imagination. Neither option is reassuring.

Scored by Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes In2ruders presents a decadently surreal and brutal vision of power in the corporate music machine. The visual imagery is gorgeously stylish with beautifull lighting and camera work, it just oozes 1980s style glamour excess. This only goes to hammer in the twisted brutal torture, gruesome violence and bloody revenge that follow in Mahmood’s short film. Caprice is clearly in her element as the power mad killer heeled corporate queen while Tony Hadley perfectly tops off one of the most surreal torture scenes I have ever witnessed.

Aside from The Bloom Twins, Hadley and Caprice the cast features: Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who), British style icon Ricki Hall and Megan Burns (28 Days Later).

Decadence, brutality and killer heels what more could you want? we give In2ruders a 666/666.
